5 Alternative Date Ideas

I love dates, it’s a time when our super busy schedules go out the window and we spend the whole night or day enjoying each others company and doing something fun. Here are five of my favourite dates that I’ve been on with my partner and five that I think you should go on too.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

My partner and I did this really early in our relationship and we both really enjoyed it. It was a pretty good way to get to know each other, whilst supporting each other trying something new. We chatted in between shots and afterwards we headed for Sunday lunch in a local pub.

Go Karting

We’re both uber competitive so when it came to Go Karting there was a good chance we were not going to come out of it together, but we did! It was great fun and something we would definitely do again.

The Zoo

This is a date his parents joined in on whilst we were visiting them in West Midlands Safari Park, this was a really cute date, unlike the above two ideas, this is not competitive at all. We saw some cute animals and had a great day out.

Try a new restaurant

I hate spicy food, but one night we ended up at our local Jamaican Jills which was a bad choice on my part. The food was lovely but extremely spicy so I spent the whole evening laughing because I had to alternate between eating and chugging down water and cocktails to calm my poor tongue.

Afternoon Tea

Almost everywhere does afternoon tea these days, you can also get high tea and cream tea. This is a cute idea if you just wanted to get together and enjoy a bite to eat in a beautiful setting. This Afternoon Tea was at The Vale Resort.

      Hi Nikki,
Thank you so much, that’s so sweet! You should definitely take him, my partner loved it so much that we’re looking forward to next Summer to do it all over again.

Ooh I’ll have to suggest clay pigeon shooting. I’d also suggest doing an Escape Room but perhaps as a double date with friends as they are surprisingly difficult!

We did an Escape room as a couple once, really early in our relationship and I’m surprised we’re still together after it. I spent the hour ripping things off walls and turning over the bed whilst my partner spent the whole time being super logical!

I’d never of thought to do clay pigeon shooting but as you said, it is a good thing to do if you both haven’t experienced it before x
