5 Ways To Celebrate Halloween

5 Ways To Celebrate Halloween

5 ways to celebrate Halloween (when you usually don’t)

I’ve never celebrated Halloween, until this year when I headed up to Chepstow to Fear Fest-Evil and it’s sparked a dark queen in me who’s eager to do more to celebrate Halloween! I’ve come up with 5 different ways that you can spend Halloween without going out clubbing or dressing up (if you’d rather not).

Deck your house with spooky decorations

I’m currently living with some friends whilst we are in the process of getting ready to move into our new home and this year their going all out with spooky decorations, an Amazon haul has been done and the decorations have arrived.

Check out an event

This year I did Fear Fest-Evil with some friends and it was great fun but you could look at what’s going on in your area. Are there any spooky tours? Haunted houses or psychic medium shows going on? Do some research for the best and make it a get together for you and a few friends.

Horror movie marathon

Get together with a few friends, your partner or on your own and have a horror movie Marathon. IT and Get Out are some of the top rated horrors from 2017 but if you’re looking for some alternatives I recommend Drag Me To Hell or The Conjuring.

Pumpkin party

Haven’t had time to carve your pumpkins yet? No worries, make a night of it! Get the pumpkins in, grab a couple of friends and spend your evening up to your elbows in Pumpkin mess. Add some wine or vodka to mix it up a bit.

Host a murder mystery party

If you watch The Big Bang Theory then you’ll know Raj is partial to a murder mystery party. I personally have never been to a murder mystery party but in preparation for this post I’ve done some research and I actually think a Halloween themed murder mystery party would be great fun, there’s lots of help on the internet to give you different themes and ideas for a unique bash.

What are your plans to celebrate Halloween this year?

Love the idea of fearfestival! I’ve got a tradition of pumpkin carving once with my partner and his brother and girlfriend and then again with my sister x

Hi Ramesh, Thanks! Just trying to give as many alternatives to clubbing this Halloween as possible.

I tried to host a murder mystery party when I was around 13…and I was obviously way too eager because it didn’t work at all. My favourite thing to do for Halloween (and sometimes just in general) is to have a horror movie marathon, I haven’t seen Drag Me To Hell or The Conjuring yet!

      Hey Julia,
Would you ever consider giving it another try? I’m thinking of giving it a proper go next year! That sounds like fun, I’m such a baby when it comes to horror movies, I’m pretty sure Drag Me To Hell was the first horror movie I ever saw in the cinema! I hid behind my coat most of the time.
